Wrestlers G&T

Back in 2008, our founders Ian and Hilary frequented The Wrestlers Pub in Highgate and as such tested their gin recipes there on Sunday evenings. Back in the 19th Century, Gin & Tonics were being invented and drunk in India, combining quinine tincture to ward off malaria, sugar to make it taste better, lime to protect from scurvy and gin to protect from boredom. Here, we pay tribute to the history of Sacred and the history of gin by combining both stories.

Method

Take a rocks glass filled with ice and add a double measure of Sacred Old Tom Gin, half a measure of tonic syrup and a squeeze of lime juice. Stir and garnish with a lime wheel for a refreshing yet uncarbonated Wrestlers G&T.
